“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away”
Big Step Productions originally started off as a film production company and through the years it has developed into a full fledged production company in all aspects. It not only produces film, but the owner Tracy Michele Tabb who has been in and around the industry for over 17 years has also taken on consulting and marketing. Starting off just wanting to solely direct films her passion never stopped there. She started as a graphic artist in the industry first and moved into doing everything from being an AD to editor, to a still photographer, even a prop master on film sets. She also created marketing campaigns for major commercial companies.
Although exhausted after 15 years in the industry she decided to follow another passion, jammin'. And I don't me being a rock star, I mean taking fresh fruit and what nots and jammin' them into jars creating a "A Little Bliss" jam packed full of love company. This started as a weekend project and turned into a crazed success of jammin' possibilities... She created 4 different categories for her jams; the traditional sweet fruit based, the not so traditional spicy varieties, the little more off center alcohol based and the wacky savory jams and jellies. Being known around the farmers market circle as the jam lady she's known best for her Serrano Lime Jelly, Almond Champagne Jelly and her Lemongrass Basil Jelly. Yum right? Right now there's a little revolution going on kind of like the cupcake industry and being at the helm and the forefront of it she wanted to open the first jam based retail store, but location and funds just aren't matching up and her passion for the directing the big screen or any size screen has never left her heart. So back to graphics and consulting she went, designing websites and revamping companies on her journey back to her soul's passion in film and television.
Tracy has said many times, "I don't mind all the paths that life has taken me on, it's made me a true renaissance woman a 'jane of all trades' per se." And she has enjoyed all the avenues where her life has led her, but knows it's time to get back to the ones that make her heart soar. So she will be consulting and revamping companies images, building websites and marketing them until she finds that crack again to get back to directing film. Thank you all for making this journey possible and yes she will still probably be making that slammin' jam on the side ;)
